THE FENG SHUI SCIENCE FOR YOUR HOME:
I started learning Feng Shui because of my growing interest in organizing and decluttering. Even if we don’t adhere to the Taoist philosophy or take all of the Feng Shui principles to heart, I believe there are many aspects of the practices that are helpful for all of us. While some people may view of Feng Shui as just another stupid ancient custom.
FENG SHUI: WHAT IS IT?
Because it focuses on enhancing the positive energy in our lives, which is something that all of us are passionate about, Feng shui is at least 6,000 years old and still going strong. The fundamental tenet of Feng Shui is that everything in our environment, including our material things, has energy known as chi. Every kind of good fortune that we all yearn for—health, money, love, and more—will be attracted to our homes and lives if the chi can flow and the environment is harmonious.
However, if this chi is obstructed, it may subsequently prevent opportunity, good health, and financial security from entering our lives. Our well-being and quality of life may be affected by this negative energy. I think we can all recall having been in, or even lived, in an environment that felt so negative that it was toxic to our health. While not solely attributable to factors like the design or architecture of the house, everything is interconnected and affects the energy in the environment and within ourselves.
some tips for your home:
Even though there are entire websites devoted to the study and application of Feng Shui, which is more than we could possibly discuss in one blog article, I’d like to highlight some of the simple Feng Shui successes you can implement in your current surroundings. Who knows, maybe things will start to shift in your life and you’ll start to feel better after a period of stagnation. That can never be awful, right?
Simply take a moment to scan your surroundings and the setting of your current home. Consider your house as though it were your first time entering. You’ll start to notice things that you otherwise might not. Consider the energy, or chi, as entering your home through the front door and flowing in like water. Start outside your front door and move inside while considering where objects such as furniture, doors, poor design, etc. may block or obstruct the flow of water. Consider the objects you are around as having energy and serving as representations of many aspects of our lives. For instance, your desk represents your career, and your bed represents the person who sleeps on it. There are several things you can think about while you move about and inside your home to strengthen the good chi if you want to increase the positive energy there.
Feng shui tip #1. WATER = WEALTH
Discover a way to have a water feature next to or outside your front door. I adore it when I approach a front door and find a tiny fountain close by. The soothing sound of water is wonderful. But in addition to being soothing, the movement of water is a potent representation of drawing in and attracting prosperity.
Consider placing a little tabletop fountain like this one in your foyer if you live in a small area. Even my children enjoy the soothing sound of water running, so I chose this one.
Feng shui tip #2. CLEAR THE ENTRYWAY:
Consider the entrance as the way you invite positive energy into your house. Use design items like mirrors and rugs to slow the flow of chi so it sticks around and keeps the entryway clear of debris.
Also, don’t disregard the front door. Cut back any trees that are blocking the entry and remove any overgrown vegetation. Keep the area well-lit and shake the doormat. This should bring in positive energy, and it will also look lovely for you and your visitors when you get home.
Feng shui tip #3. CLEAN WINDOWS:
In addition to letting in more sunlight, which is a natural energizer, clean windows also represent the eyes and voices of adults and children in a home. Maintaining them will draw in more light, lifting your spirits and energizing everyone in the house. Think about using a non-toxic cleaner like this one from Grove. I’ve only recently started using their products, and I already adore the scents of essential oils and the pure ingredients.
Feng shui tip #4. CONCENTRATE ON THE 5 ELEMENTS:
According to Feng Shui principles, our dwellings are made up of the five elements of fire, water, earth, wood, and metal. Consider the aspects of your life that might be lacking, then use items from your house to make up for them. If you’re feeling sluggish, for instance, think about adding a candle and some décor with red, orange, and yellow tones to your space to increase the presence of the fire element. Look around you to see whether there are several of the same hues or tones. Find solutions to balance those components. A fantastic article on balancing the five elements in your home can be found here.
Feng shui tip #5. FIX OR THROW AWAY BROKEN ITEMS:
Having items around your home that are broken or in poor condition is correlated with unwelcome difficulties. Remove them in order that they don’t impede the beneficial energy, or fix them to bring them back to their previous splendor.
Additionally, it is a wise general rule to follow when taking care of the environment. Take the time to lubricate a door if it begins to squeak, or check to determine whether it’s balanced. These things happen and every one houses settle with time. If you’re taking excellent care of your house, it’ll take excellent care of you. (Ideally )
Feng shui tip #6. Get more plants
Indoor plants have a range of advantages, including purifying the air and improving air movement and freshness. try this text to find out all the advantages of indoor plants.
It is recommended by principle to own plants in your spaces. Plants enhance the energy in your house and boost the health and vitality of everyone who lives there. Writing this has encouraged me to require the plunge and obtain a fiddle leaf tree for my house.
Feng shui tip #7. BLOCK DRAINS:
I found this one to be humorous. Energy is alleged to be able to run down drains and exit your house, signifying that cash or fortune is leaving your life.
Therefore, you’ll prevent money from draining by closing drains. This can be as easy as closing bathroom doors, covering sink drains, pulling the stopper out of the bathtub after a shower, etc. I laughed as I examined this one because we had to lock bathroom doors and toilets because of young children. I used to be unaware that I used to be preventing money from leaving our life (although, I wish that meant extra money was staying in our bank accounts).
Feng shui tip #8. DOORS MATTER LOTS:
They are viewed as openings that permit opportunity into your life or close them off. Always dust, clean, and test to confirm proper operation of your door. Any doors that are difficult to open or close can obstruct the flow of energy, which can be interpreted as blocking opportunities that are trying to enter your life.
Feng shui tip #9. USING POSITION BEDS PROPERLY:
One of the foremost well-known principle principles is this one. The beds should be during a position referred to as “commanding position,” which places you within the farthest corner of the area from the door while yet allowing you to look at the door from your bed.
The same is true with office workstations. you’ll be able to put a mirror ahead of you in order that you’ll be able to see the door clearly if your desk is during a cubicle or another location where you’re unable to face it when seated. Energy flow in your relationship and job is believed to rise once you are in a very commanding position.
Feng shui tip #10. DECLUTTER YOUR HOUSE:
Spend it slow every so often walking around your house and only searching for things that are not where they must be or things that are blocking the paths. Regularly browse your belongings and acquire eliminate everything that does not fit, doesn’t bring you joy, or that you just don’t use
I can still recall how impatient I used to be to end our first house and the way i used to be continually furnishing, shopping, and decorating different rooms. But as time went on, I came to the conclusion that I had made more impulsive decisions than long-lasting decisions that I really valued.
We were able to start over once we relocated because we had to sell or disclose many of these items. Since we’ve been here for 2 years, I still haven’t finished several parts of the house because I am unable to quite picture how the area should be.
Feng shui tip #11. Bless Spaces
This stage is familiar to spiritual readers because the principle interpretation resembles blessing a location quite a bit. Here, you are taking your time to walk about your house while meditating and concentrating on the atmosphere and surroundings you want to foster there. Sage or essential oils is wont to lightly smudge your house.
The principles of manifestation also because the skill of building intentions and imagining what you wish in this area of your life work well here. These essential oils from Amazon are fantastic. they’re high-quality and fairly priced. They complement my diffuser perfectly.
Feng shui tip #12. GRATITUDE IN PRACTICE:
Having gratitude in your life is sort of healthy. Additionally, expressing gratitude improves the flow of “qi,” or vitality, in your house. Feng Shui is solely another tool or guide you’ll be able to use while creating, decorating, and organizing your home. It doesn’t have to be time-consuming or expensive.
In my opinion, learning more techniques to boost the positive energy all around us won’t do any harm. .They’ll at least leave your house feeling lighter, brighter, and less cluttered, all of which are beneficial to the mind and soul.
Apply these Feng Shui tips in your house and see how do you feel, and tell me in the remarks section below!
Have a wonderful day.
